Our core purpose is to promote the use of the spoken Welsh language.
As our unique methodology to achieve this aim has proved so popular and successful, we are looking to develop learning modules for other languages too.
In Wales
Our positive results with teaching Welsh has seen SaySomethingin develop a close partnership with The National Centre for Learning Welsh, for whom we are currently developing a number of important Welsh language initiatives, including:
- A module for Arabic, Pashto and Dari speaking Asylum Seekers or Refugees to learn Welsh
- A pilot scheme for 16-to-18-year-old six formers, college attendees & apprentices to improve Welsh speaking ability
- Ongoing annual support for the National Centre provision for adult Welsh learners that support their ongoing schemes
We see the National Centre as a close colleague in our mission to reverse the language shift in Wales and look forward to working closely with them in the future.
SSi maintains film production has an important role within Welsh language development.
We work with multiple television and movie production houses that embrace the Welsh language in numerous formats.
For example, we have long helped celebrities learn Welsh for their appearance in the S4C TV show Iaith ar Daith. From Ruth Jones and Carol Vorderman, via Rakie Ayola and Chris Coleman, to Katie Owen and Mike Bubbins, the SSi methodology has helped
If you believe that you or your company can help spread the uptake of the Welsh in any way do not hesitate to contact SSi if you feel we can help you in any way.
